TORI TRIGG: My Beautiful Mystery

I think that if a young Jennifer Connelly and Brooke Shields were to have a love child - the final result would be something like the beautiful Tori Trigg. Originally hailing from the lovely land of Adelaide, Tori somehow bypassed Sydney all together, securing a global contract with IMG management. Whisked straight off to the fashion capital of Paris, Tori debuted with an impressive three couture shows (a seperate entity to the traditional Paris fashion week) which is mighty impressive for a fresh face. Her mother agency is Pride and her NZ agent is Red 11 - but its going to be hard task to track this one down as she`ll be based in New York as of the beginning of January. However, in true Thom Kerr fashion, I managed to track her down before she dissapeared! Hence this sneaky beauty shot with hair and makeup by the talented Stacy Lee Ghin... with more pictures on the way. Tori, like many aussie models, possesses a down to earth nature combined with an easy going personality. It also helps that she`s totally beautiful. Keep your eye out on this lovely lass, I see an interesting career ahoy!

CODIE YOUNG: Age of Aquarius!

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius! Age of Aquarius! Oh Yeah Baby! I don't know about you guys but I've had some major changes going on in my life over the last few months. A lot of my friends are having very similar experiences. My advice, you just got to roll with it! Life seems to be getting more and more exciting! The challenges get bigger, the risks get higher, the rewards become greater! My lovely friend Elliot Ward-Fear messaged me this morning to make sure that I send out positive affirmations to the universe today - as it's the 11th of the 11th of 2011. A whole lotta 11's! Whoaaaaa! So I've done mine, now it's your turn! Meanwhile, here is a psychedelic beauty outtake of Codie Young from the Elliot Ward-Fear campaign to get you into that free spirited frame of mind! I can't wait to show you our spread for Black Magazine - it's truly awesome. In the meantime, this should suffice!

SUBFUSCO ELEMENTS 11/12: Jemma Baines

POP! I've been noticing the lovely Jemma Baines from Chic surfacing in some great australian editorials lately (including Harpars Bazaar & Russh) so I thought I'd share with you this beauty shot of her from the Subfusco lookbook collection 'Elements' - Amelia Axton did a divine job with the hair and makeup. Jemma was great fun to work with on the day and took to my strange sense of humour with ease!  Not only does Jemma have strikingly beautiful features, but she also posseses a total willingness to work until you get the photograph you're looking for. A great beauty who loves modelling - an ideal combination that equates to success!

MONSTER & MIDGET: Stella Maxwell @ VIVA

These pictures are from a story I published a while back for a unique little publication called Monster & Midget. The talent featured is viva model Stella Maxwell. Stella has shot a stack of amazing international editorial and worked with some top notch clients and photographers across the globe (think British Vogue, think Alexander McQueen, think Mario Testino). Anyone who has worked with Stella would attest that she brings a fantastic energy into her pictures and her company is always a pleasure. I'm looking forward to when we get a chance to shoot together again! In the meantime, I thought I'd share these pics I took of her... I still really enjoy them!

AVES BEAUTY: featuring Eva Downey

This B&W outake is from a beauty campaign I shot for Aves Cosmetics - featuring one of my favourite aussie models Eva Downey from The Agency. Personally I believe Eva has the potential to become one of the biggest models to emerge out of Australia, so I'm keen to see how her career progress over the next few years! Aves is owned by talented Sydney makeup artist Bonnie Gillies. Bonnie runs one of Australia's most well respected beauty blogs Oz Beauty Expert which investigates all of the latest products, news and services available in the beauty industry. Well worth checking out if you're passionate about your beauty products!

PAULA KYLE WALDEN: Anthea @ Busy Models

This weekend I made a pit stop in Brisbane to shoot the new collection from uber talented accessories designer Paula Kyle Walden. We channelled a late seventies aesthetic for the shoot - and the final images will be revealed in the weeks to come. In the meantime, I had to share this one outtake with you that I have fallen in love with. Channelling a young Cybill Shepard, I adore this shot of the beautiful Anthea @ Busy Models. Anthea is a total babe and heaps of fun to work with! Lauren McCowan did the hair and makeup, and totally nailed it as usual.

All I have to say is "More, more, more... how do you like it?"

SHORT FILM: Anything But Ordinary

The kind folk at Olympus have gifted me with a new camera they've brought out named the PEN E-P3. It's a sexy little number that has an old school vintage type look but can take a super powerful photograph, rivaling that of any DSLR. It comes with a wicked array of features including some super cool art filters and the recording power to make HD movies!

Excited by my new toy, I decided to take a walk the other day to get some inspiration. Sadly by the time I made it to the city centre, the rain began to pour down and I had to scrap my original idea...

I took shelter undercover nearby, pondering my next move whilst scanning my surroundings. That's when I happened to notice this very elegant escalator. Upon closer inspection I soon became obsessed with it. So much so that I made a short film about it... and here it is - Anything But Ordinary - which is all about finding art in the most mundane of places. Shot, directed and edited by yours truly.

Enjoy!

The Lovely Caitlin Lomax

Perth beauty Caitlin Lomax has had a great introduction in her first global fashion week circuit walking shows such as Prada, Versus, Christopher Kane, Topshop Unique, Alberta Ferretti and Richard Nicholl to name just a few. Caitlin has worked super hard to get herself where she needs to be, and although her journey in many ways is only just beginning she deserves a big congratulations. She should be super proud of herself! Here are some pictures we took together a while back. It put a smile on my face to know they are the front of her IMG showcard!

Keep kicking goals Caitlin! Well done darling...

WELCOME BACK: The Gorgeous Liv!

Two years ago I lived in Auckland for a while and in my travels got to work with some impressive kiwi talent. Liv O'Driscoll was one of my favourite faces to shoot with (we all know I love a good actress). Liv took some time out of her blossoming career to have a child, which is not only brave but no easy feat. Recently I've learnt she's stepped back into the business so I wish nothing but success for her gloriously awaited return. Hopefully our paths will cross again and we'll be able to create some more magic... In the meantime I leave you with a beauty shot I took of her. Keep an eye out ladies and gentlemen, Liv O'Driscoll is back!

RAISING ARIZONA: A surreal portrait of Arizona Muse

Of all the conventionally beautiful photos I shot of Arizona Muse that day, these two are my favourite. There is an absolute intimacy that I fell in love with... I hope they make sense to you like they do for me...

JOAN OF ART: Fashion Gone Rogue

Last time I was in San Francisco I shot the gorgeous Mackenzie Drazan from Star Models. Mackenzie had a sensational debut at New York Fashion Week walking Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein etc. I published this story on Fashion Gone Rouge and was surprised at the overwhelming response I received internationally. To see the rest of the story, click here...

BLAIR NORFOLK: Chic

The charming Blair Norfolk from Chic came and shot with us the other day. Blair has faced the Abercrombie & Fitch campaigns with Bruce Weber and recently appeared in Gossip Girl as Leighton Meester's love interest! What fun! With acting on the cards I wish him the best of luck on his next round of adventures...

PHOENIX KEATING SPRING SUMMER 2011: Featuring Krystal Glynn

Fresh faced Krystal Glynn from Sydney's 'The Agency' has been having a great little debut at New York Fashion Week. I shot Krystal's first test and it's exciting to see what she has accomplished. When the opportunity came up to shoot young designer Phoenix Keating's new collection we were lucky enough to have her face the brand. We love you Krystal... Gaga ended up wearing two of Phoenix's dresses whilst in town. That's the second time Gaga has pulled in from young designers I've worked with. Just goes to show the woman has good taste...

BREEDLOVE NYC: Stil Magazine

A while back I was contacted by an amazing singer from NY named Breedlove... Since my adventures in the states we have become buddies and I shot and interviewed him for STIL. magazine. I love his music and his band of hyper creative followers. Very inspiring kids... Below is a behind the scenes video from our shoot in Brooklyn with a couple of gorgeous girls thrown in the midst. Enjoy!

ROXANNA ZAMANI: Pagesdigital

Last year I met a young designer named Roxanna Zamani at fashion week who won the ftv new designer awards. I fell in love with her work! We exchanged contact details and since then she interned with Christopher Kane in London and featured in Italian Vogue! She finally returned to NZ so we vowed to work with each other again. Here is my Pagesdigital shoot of her latest capsule collection... Very clever cookie!
